The following analysis case consists of a centralized cooling lubricant treatment system for the production of pistons in the automotive industry. This system requires a microfiltration of the metal particles upstream of the high pressure branch.
Four automatic backflush Filtration Group R3-7 filters (replace AF 179) have been introduced, downstream of the gravity pre-separation system, for the microfiltration (< 40 μm) of these low viscosity emulsions.
This leads to a series of important advantages:
- – high compatibility and flexibility
- – reduced maintenance
- – continuous filtration
- – long life of the filter elements
