Lubricating oil leaks occur during the balancing processes of turbines used for power generation in conventional power plants. This oil accumulates in underlying tanks, carrying with it water and contaminant particles. To limit the costs of continuous oil draining and replacement, a PI 150 hydraulic filter was used to remove particles with an absolute filtration rate of 10 μm, and an OTS 16 separator to significantly reduce the water content using coalescence technology.
